Volunteers Needed!

Abingdon Main Street is looking for a few good men and women to volunteer this summer.  The most urgent need is for volunteers at the Thursday night beer gardens, but we also need volunteers for the Wolf Committee, Main Street Buskerfest, and volunteers with expertise in the area of historic preservation and design, economic development, and promotions.

Do you have what it takes? Call us at 492-2237 or email mainstreet@abingdon-va.gov

Volunteers are the backbone of the organization, and we LOVE them!

Each volunteer who meets the minimum number of hours over the course of a year will receive and Abingdon Main Street T-shirt and an invitation to the Volunteer Appreciation Party.

New Board Members Elected

Abingdon Main Street’s Board of Directors has elected 5 new members.

The organization is pleased to welcome the following new members:

Board members will serve a two-year term, after which they are eligible for reelection.

Abingdon Main Street is a non-profit organization with a volunteer Board of Directors, volunteer work teams and one paid staff person. We focus on making our downtown district a place where people want to shop, dine, stay and play. We plan events and activities to draw locals and visitors to downtown and are proud to support our locally-owned businesses.
